The Vegan Butcher Shop is our baby—which means we’ve been there from the very beginning, helping to shape it into what it is today. Everything you see “on the outside” is created right here in our Createsome Community—from product packaging design to product photography and social media content, all the way through to the online store.





It all began with basic branding. And we are convinced that this includes more than just a logo and colors. So we have dealt with basic topics that touchpoints and Customer Journeys employed to create the best possible customer experience without a large budget. Our customer service should be as friendly and solution-oriented as possible, our brand should leave a positive impression with every contact — that was our premise.
After the “Die Vegane Fleischerei” project became a huge success overnight and we decided to turn the small shop in Dresdner Neustadt into a franchise, we of course also needed an online shop, because there will always be people who do not live in the catchment area of our branches or who are unable to go shopping offline for other reasons. The main challenges here were refrigerated shipping (we ship our products via our own fulfillment) and short shelf life.

An online shop for fresh food needs different solutions than traditional e-commerce. In addition to a good user experience, refrigerated shipping, durability and trust also play an important role here. For Die Vegane Fleischerei, we have therefore designed the shop in such a way that it not only sells, but also provides orientation and conveys the special features of the products in an understandable way.
Transparency is particularly important when it comes to vegan substitute products. Ingredients, nutritional values and preparation should be easy to understand and easy to find. At the same time, it strengthens trust when the manufacture behind the products is visible. This makes the shop more informative, approachable and makes it easier for people who have had little contact with vegan alternatives so far.
Shipping is also part of the brand experience. That is why sustainable packaging solutions and clear communication about refrigerated shipping play an important role. Recycled materials, transparent information and a well-thought-out checkout create trust. At the same time, free shipping thresholds and appropriate upsell products in the shopping cart can help promote larger and more economical orders.
In vegan butcher shops, we use Shopify POS as a cash register system, which entailed industry-specific challenges: In particular, the topics Weighing items, inventory with best before date, ordering process The focus here was on the part of the franchise partner. So far, we have found a solution to all problems so that a seamless and cashless customer experience is possible in everyday life.

The store sells both classic pieces and weighed products. The cash register system must therefore reliably represent both and enable accurate billing. This ensures a smooth process at the checkout — even with specific requirements in the food trade.
All products and inventory are managed centrally in Shopify and synchronized between locations. This creates an overview and simplifies processes between warehouse, production and branches. Especially when it comes to food products, clean inventory logic is crucial in order to be able to work efficiently in everyday life.
With Click & Collect, online shop and shop can be combined in a meaningful way. Customers can order online and pick up their products on site. This increases the frequency in the store and creates additional moments for advice, personal contact and upselling.
Personal advice in the shop is an important factor, especially when it comes to products that require explanation. In a direct conversation, questions can be clarified, recommendations can be made and suitable additional products can be suggested. This improves the shopping experience and can significantly increase the shopping cart in the store.
When employees can directly access ingredients, nutritional values or preparation instructions in Shopify POS, the cash register system also becomes a consulting tool. This creates sales security and is particularly helpful for vegan products, which often require additional explanation.
We produce all visual content, which the vegan butcher's shop plays out completely by itself. Both our product images and all Social media and campaign content are manufactured in-house by us. Over time, this has given us a lot of experience and expertise in what the target group really wants and what we can save ourselves. Just as with vegan butcher products, we always try our best when it comes to content innovative and creative to stay — to maintain long-term customer loyalty and create interesting content. Our main approach to social media is a mix of informative, educational and humorous content. We also try to be able to show people as much as possible about our production in order to highlight the craftsmanship aspect of the products even more.

In addition to everything, we also create a newsletters, in which we report weekly on new products, seasonal offers and even recipes to cook at home. Here we attach great importance to informative content and try to include as little “promo” as possible — because we are convinced that the secret of a really good newsletter is: It should entertain me, teach me new things or simply be interesting — and not another channel that bombards me with advertising every week.
We also produce and manage ads on Google, Meta and Microsoft to reach as many people as possible with various strategies and campaign content.
