1. Application & funding review

We will check whether your company is eligible for funding and take care of the application process for you. Once funding has been approved, the consultation can begin.

2. Start consulation

In sessions tailored to your company's individual needs, we provide you with practical support on your topics in person—clear, understandable, and directly applicable.

3. Obtain proof & receive subsidy

After the consultation, we will submit all the documents for your company online. Once the BAFA has reviewed them, the subsidy will be paid out—up to 80% of the costs will be covered.

Who is eligible to apply for BAFA funding?

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from all sectors are eligible for funding. Start-ups can also take advantage of the funding, but must first attend an informational meeting with a regional contact person before submitting their application.

What types of consultations are supported?

Funding is available for individual consulting sessions relating to economic, financial, personnel, or organizational issues in corporate management. Important: The consulting services may not include the purchase or installation of systems or products, but must be purely advisory in nature.

How many consultations can be subsidized?

Within the period of validity of the funding guideline (until December 31, 2026), each company can receive a maximum of five completed consultations, but no more than two per year. The date of application is decisive.

How much is the subsidy, and who pays the rest?

The amount of the subsidy depends on the federal state in which your company is based: In the old federal states (including Berlin and Leipzig, excluding Lüneburg and Trier), 50% of the consulting costs are covered, up to a maximum of €1,750 per consultation. In the new federal states (excluding Berlin and the Leipzig region), the subsidy is 80%, up to a maximum of €2,800. You pay the remaining amount directly to the consulting firm.

When does the consultation begin and how does the application process work?

Consulting may only begin once the BAFA has approved funding. The conclusion of a consulting contract is considered the start of the process. We take care of the application for you, so you don't have to worry about it yourself.

What do I need to do after the consultation?

After the consultation, we submit the most important documents online, e.g., consultation report, invoice, and account statement. The control center checks everything, and after approval, the subsidy is paid out.
